Thank you all so much for your input regarding your child’s education. I find conferences very helpful and enlightening.

SUBJECT UPDATES:

READING: Independent reading: 15 min in the AM and 15 min in the PM. Students need an AR book to read at those times. We will be starting new novels this week.
LANGUAGE: LWRs.  Public speaking unit.
SOCIAL STUDIES: 5th graders: Begin Ch 5.
SCIENCE: Independent and dependent variable ws. Acid/acid ongoing.
MATH: Division and multiplication.
SPELLING: U 11—Dictation sentences begin for both grades. 5th graders copied them down in their assignment notebooks. They are also written with the spelling words below.
