AUCTION ON MONDAY


Noon Dismissal on Tuesday this week. Student Council will have a bake sale on Tuesday at dismissal. Items will be $.50.


No speeches this week. They are going very well!  :-)

We are regrouping and focusing more on being quiet as a class.

SUBJECT UPDATES:

READING: 6th grade is reading In the Year of the Hangman or Indian Captive. 5th graders are reading Incident at Hawks Hill or Island of the Blue Dolphins
LANGUAGE: LWRs.  Public speaking unit. No speech next week. After Thanksgiving, we will have speeches on Tu, Wed, and Thursday. Topic is of their choice. Time frame: must be at least 2-3 minutes. No LWR this week.
SOCIAL STUDIES: 5th graders: Ch 5 on Explorers. Students will have an choice of a map, a journal, or a timeline of their explorer.
SCIENCE: Systems. Acid/acid ongoing.
MATH: 5th graders: Finishing division. Tests for all. Division for 5th; expanded and exponential notation for both. 6th graders: multiplying and dividing decimals; solving algebraic equations.
SPELLING: No spelling next week.
KEYBOARDING: Continue
PLAY TRYOUTS: Posted Monday, Nov 21 (Two Casts). Play on Monday, December 5th @ 9:45 & 1:30 (subject to change). I’ll post the confirmed times next week.
