Message from Mrs. Reitz about coupon books (6th graders)

Hello Parents!
The deadline for our Preferred Coupon Booklets is next Monday, September 26th.  Please make sure your child has sold at least  7-8 of them, OR if they are not selling, you are planning to make a donation of $70 to cover the expenses for your child.  Once again, this money is being used to purchase a yearbook for each child, along with expenses for our field trip to the Lewis & Clark Caverns and for our 6th grade party at Rose Park.  If your child has not sold any booklets yet, the neighborhoods that "feed" into Arrowhead School might be interested (Arrowhead does not sell these booklets and they are popular!).   They really do sell quite easily, especially if you are selling in a neighborhood that hasn't bought them yet this year.  Thanks for all of your help and support!

I apologize for having to change my address. The old address wasn’t letting me in.  L I have lost my “techy-ness” and had to start again.

PINK SLIPS: I am still handing out a LOT OF THESE. Please ask for the assignment notebook every night.

Mrs. Beatty and Mrs. Reitz are so pleased with the behavior and interactions of the 6th graders coming to their Social Studies. I am proud of them, and I wanted to pass the message along to you.  J

THANK YOU to Sherry Ross, who volunteered to be our class’s person for the Yearbook. I also have 2 people who have said they will go to Moss Mansion with the 6th graders in December. I will get those dates to you ASAP.

There are 2 parents who have volunteered (from other classrooms) to be involved with Student Council. As soon as I hear how that all will work, I will post it here.

iKeepBookmarks.com

I will be putting frequently used bookmarks on this web site so you or your children can access them from home. Right now I have one called Calculation Nation there. It is a FANTASTIC site for math practice (at their level) and logical thinking. [My current favorite is neXtu. J] I will be introducing the games in class. However, students may access them at any time and read the directions for playing them.

Students need a login name and password. I have created 4 currently. They all center around the name of Zeb and a #, and the password is my last name with a #. You will need the underscore in the user name.

Accounts:

User name: Zeb_1 Password:   porisch1
User name: Zeb_2    Password:   porisch2
User name: Zeb_3   Password:   porisch3
User name:  Zeb_4  Password:   porisch4

I have made these accounts for Calculation Nation so that the students can challenge each other. They will know that if a “Zeb” is online, that it is someone from the class. Each account has to have a separate email address associated with it, so at the current time, I only have 4 set up.

I will be updating this page as we get nearer to the first day of school so check back before then.
